All map fragment locations in Elden Ring

The map fragments in Elden Ring have locations all around the Lands Between, and finding them all reveals your own map that you can use to explore and navigate much more easily. However, finding them all isn't simple or easy for a player to do, being one of those unofficial side quests that'll last through the entire game, with 19 separate fragments for players to uncover, both above and below ground. If you want to see the whole map, here's the locations of all fragments in Elden Ring, as well as how to find them as easily as possible.

All Elden Ring map fragments locations

We've found all the Elden Ring map fragments, of which there are 19 in total covering both above and below ground. We've listed them all on the map above and the maps beneath (the latter of which cover the underground areas like Nokron, the Lake of Rot, and the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum). 

Follow these maps accordingly - even without the fragments filled in, you can work out your positioning according to your placement, the local environment, and the beacons marked as you approach. If you're not familiar with beacons, they're explained just under the list.

1. Limgrave, West map fragment - the first one you'll likely find, this is central in the camp of Soldiers just down the hill from the Stormgate.
2. Limgrave, East map fragment - in the Mistwood, clearly visible on the road, but surrounded by giant bears. Approach with caution, and stealth around them to avoid a mauling.
3. Weeping Peninsula map fragment - On the road just South of the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace.
4. Dragonbarrow map fragment - South of the giant Divine Tower and just East from the Dragonbarrow West Site of Grace, along the road.
5. Caelid map fragment - Along the big curving road South of the swamp, and just across from the merchant.
6. Liurnia, East map fragment - in the lake itself, just North of the Site of Grace with the merchant called Liurnia Lake Shore.
7. Liurnia, North map fragment - South side of the ruins and right next to the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace.
8. Liurnia, West map fragment - South of the giant fortress on the coast, just up the hill from the Northern Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace.
9. Altus Plateau map fragment - On the path turning left out when you take the road East from the Great Lift of Dectus.
10. Leyndell, Royal Capital map fragment - Just next to the Site of Grace called the "Outer Wall Phantom Tree", East of the two Tree Sentinels.
11. Mt. Gelmir map fragment - down the slope from the peak, guarded by a giant severed hand.
12. Mountaintops of the Giants, West map fragment - Just after ascending the Grand Lift of Rold, it's down the path ahead on the right.
13. Mountaintops of the Giants, East map fragment - Cross the chain South of the fortress, next to the Giant's Gravepost Site of Grace.
14. Consecrated Snowfield map fragment - On the other side of an obscuring blizzard, at the base of a giant tree past the stream that cuts the area in two.

15. Siofra River map fragment - As you enter the area, it's at the entrance to Hallowhorn Grounds, the temple on the Eastern Cliffedge. Hug the right precipice and you should find it.
16. Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum map fragment - Just before the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum Site of Grace, in a nameless stone ruin. Head through the swamp towards the palace to approach from the North side.

17. Deeproot Depths map fragment - Once you get into the city area past the roots, it's simply resting on a corpse in a Gazebo in the middle of town.

18. Ainsel River map fragment - Inside the temple at the back of the tunnels, past the giant ants and cosmic hyper-centipede. Look for the merchant - it'll be close to him.
19. Lake of Rot map fragment - Very easy to find; the moment you enter the Lake of Rot via Nokstella, it'll be resting on a corpse on the edge of the lake just ahead of you.

How to find map fragments in Elden Ring

The Elden Ring map fragments are usually against "beacons", stone obelisks with glowing writing on them that are pretty noticeable to anybody standing close (you can see one in the header image at the top of the page). Simply picking up the item at the base of each one is all that's needed to uncover the map in that area, but finding the beacons isn't easy without the map above.

Of course, even if you don't want to use it, you can actually get a secret hint from Elden Ring as you play. Though the map doesn't uncover as you travel, you do at least clear the "fog of war" effect, and get to see the locations of major roads and a few significant locations like Evergaols. However, if you look for the spire-shaped marker above, which will also uncover, that's a beacon! Head there to find the local map and uncover everything for yourself.

The exception to this is all the underground map fragments - Siofra, Ainsel, Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum, Deeproot and the Lake of Rot. These have no beacons and no markers that we could find. Instead, they're found on corpses or left out as items in the world that have be hunted down manually (ideally using our guide above).
