Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a brand new playlist update today, including Plunder Trios and Rebirth Island Mini Royale Quads.

Just below, you can see the announcement of the new Call of Duty: Warzone playlist update, which was made yesterday at May 6. Coming into the battle royale's rotation for players right now is Plunder Trios, as well as Mini Royale Quads and Resurgence Duos on Rebirth Island exclusively

Leaving Warzone's current playlist is Resurgence Trios and Plunder Blood Money Quads for Verdansk 84, and Resurgence Trios for Rebirth Island. The most notable point for this playlist update is the fact that Resurgence on Verdansk is now completely gone from the battle royale game.

Previously, the Resurgence game mode was exclusive to the smaller Rebirth Island map, but it was only with the addition of Season 3 launching last month in April that the game mode came to the far larger Verdansk 84 map for the first time. Now though, that's all changed, as Resurgence has reverted back to taking place on Rebirth Island.

Just yesterday, the brand new CARV.2 tactical rifle was added to Call of Duty: Warzone. The new rifle was slated to have a rapid burst-fire pattern, with relatively low recoil and some solid stopping power. With that description, it sure sounded like the meta surrounding Warzone was about to be dominated by the brand new rifle, but we'll have to wait and see how the addition from developer Raven Software plays out over the coming few weeks. Could the AUG and FFAR 1 meta be overtaken by the new CARV.2?
