Black Friday Gaming Headsets—when do they go on sale?

No matter whether you're after Black Friday headset gaming deals or other discounts, everything kicks off in late November. More specifically, Black Friday itself begins on November 29, 2019, and runs right through to December 2, 2019 (which is when Cyber Monday gets started). Many retailers will hold back their biggest reductions for 29 November as a result, but that doesn't mean gaming headset Black Friday offers will exclusively appear during that period. In fact, Black 'Friday' has really become 'Black Fortnight' over the last couple of years.

Deals traditionally begin a week or so before actual Black Friday, so expect to see most of them land between November 21-22 (though some may arrive even earlier). They'll then carry on until around December 5. However, that isn't the end of the savings. Low prices continue into January 2020 and the new year. Basically, we're in this for the long haul.

You might have missed the boat on these headsets. But taking a look at these bargains from last year's Black Friday sales may give you some insight on what's just around the corner. This should give you a fairly good idea of how much you can potentially save and ensure that you're getting the best price possible.

How to save money on Gaming Headsets during Black Friday

With so many different sales pulling you in nearly every direction, how do you ensure that the deal you're looking at is the absolute best one? Taking the time to do some proper planning now will pay huge dividends when the deals start flying. Here is a quick list of things to cross off your to-do list before November to help you capitalize on savings without the added frustration.

1.   Spend More, Save More
When it comes to gaming headsets, you typically can't go wrong with a premium product, especially during Black Friday when everything is seeing enormous discounts. More often than not with audio equipment, you get what you pay for. While you may be able to get a budget headset for pennies on the dollar, a premium product will last longer and typically sound better. Another factor you may want to keep in mind before smashing that checkout button is whether you'd want to save some money by picking up a wired version of a headset rather that it's more expensive, wireless counterpart.

2.   Always Be Comparing
Paying attention to the pricing trends of particular headsets will help you figure out if you're getting the best deal or not. Checking sites like CamelCamelCamel allows you to look at the highs and low pricing of a particular set of headphones you've set your heart on and quickly tell if they've hit rock bottom. Also, with manufacturers rapidly releasing new versions of the same headset, you may want to see if last year's model is on sale at a steeper discount as the differences are usually fairly negligible.

3.  Plug and Play
With the massive amount of console headsets hitting the market, compatibility has suddenly become a bit of an issue. Whats makes this even more confusing, is manufacturers will often release Headsets with different compatibility under the same name, and except for some different colored trim, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. So make sure that the model you're shopping for is compatible with the system you intend to use it with. Or, better yet buy a single, super-awesome pair thats compatible with everything.
