There's still a few months to wait until it hits the big screen, but Super Mario Galaxy movie merch pre-orders have already landed, and Yoshi fans are eating good.
As the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie marks the first appearance of the cute green fella in the cinema universe (if you ignore that Super Mario Bros 1993 exists for a second), there's a lot of Yoshi toys to go around. The biggest showstopper of the set is undoubtedly the Hatchin' Yoshi Interactive Toy available for £59.99 (Smyths Toys), which takes inspiration from the popular Hatchimals line with a Super Mario twist. Just like the games, the interactive Yoshi can 'hatch' from his speckled egg, which can be later used as a display for everyone's favorite green dino.
The egg-cellent collectibles don't stop there. There's also a Yoshi Egg Playset and everything from new plushies of Mario and Luigi and Princess Peach, to action figures featuring Bowser Jr and Princess Rosalina. Retailers Walmart and Smyths Toys state Yoshi and friends are available from February 20. Meanwhile, you have plenty of time to start saving your coins for the adorable Hatchin' Yoshi as he's not expected to hatch until the same day as the upcoming movie on April 1, 2026.
Hatchin' Yoshi Interactive Toy Egg | Check stock at Walmart
The Hatchin' Yoshi toy features a talking interactive Yoshi who will hatch from his very own egg. Once free, the adorable dino can say over 50 sounds and phrases, and can interact with sounds and movements like a cute Super Mario-themed Furby, but with less hair and cuter eyes.
UK: £59.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie – Yoshi Egg Playset | $29.97 at Walmart
This adorable 9-inch Yoshi egg-shaped toy opens up to reveal a tiny double-sided playset. On one side, you have a museum that includes a crumbling dinosaur skeleton, and on the other, there's a warp pipe that takes kids and collectors to the Dry Outpost as seen in the movie trailers.
UK: $29.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - 5 Inch Action Figure Series – Yoshi | $19.97 at Walmart
Nintendo and Jakks have included a 5-inch action figure line with the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie toy-line, which includes this Yoshi figure. Yoshi has 20 points of articulation and comes with accessories, including a cute little New York City hat and sunglasses. If you grab the Mario figure, you get a cute Luma accessory instead.
Mario: $19.97 at Walmart
Bowser Jr: $29.97 at Walmart
UK: $19.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie – 9 Inch Plush Figure – Mario | $14.97 at Walmart
It wouldn't be a new Mario merch drop without some plushies. For the sequel, you can grab a 9-inch cuddly Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, which have cuddly soft buddies and hard plastic 3D heads.
Luigi: $14.97 at Walmart
Princess Peach: $14.97 at Walmart
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - Luigi Star Launcher toy | $6.97 at Walmart
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie merch line also includes a set of spring-loaded star launcher toys, so you can propel your favorite characters through space and time just like in the original game. The first wave features Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Bowser Jr, and Wonder Bowser Jr.
Wonder Bowser Jr: $6.97 at Walmart
Mario: $6.97 at Walmart
UK: $6.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie merch has only dropped at Walmart and Smyths Toys so far. However, just like the huge range of merch available for the first animated Super Mario Movie, it will likely start to appear at other big retailers online and in-store closer to the movie's release date.
As a heads up, what you can and can't pre-order so far will depend on where you're based. The 'Hatchin' Yoshi Interactive Toy Egg' is available to pre-order in the UK, but as of writing, I haven't yet spotted it at any US retailers so far. The second pre-orders roll out, I'll be sure to let you know.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
