We’ve had Darth Vader, Darth Maul and The Emperor, but get ready for the latest scary-looking villain to become part of the Star Wars canon.
In animated series Star Wars Rebels , it's the mean-looking Inquisitor who'll be giving Jedi Knights a run for their credits.
Set 14 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith (so before A New Hope ), Rebels comes from executive producer Dave Filoni, who also produced the Star Wars: Clone Wars series.
The show's plot revolves around the rise of the Galactic Empire, in which The Inquisitor plays a major role – he’s tasked by Darth Vader himself with taking down the last remaining Jedi Knights.
With his white-painted face and glowing yellow eyes, he’s definitely the kind of Sith Lord we wouldn’t want to bump into in a dark corner of an AT-AT.
Check out a behind-the-scenes featurette on the series below, which includes the Inquisitor’s big reveal…
Star Wars Rebels will air in the US in autumn 2014.
