Mark Strong’s name has shot up the rumour list in connection with the Lex Luthor role in the Man Of Steel sequel, thought to be titled Batman Vs Superman .
Digital Spy report on an interview with Strong, in which they put the Lex Luthor rumours to the bald actor. His response? “All I can say is… watch this space.”
Could Strong just be playing games? It’s surprising that he doesn’t go for a flat-out ‘No’, and he’d be a cracking choice for the role, given that: he’s charismatic as hell; well-versed in villainy; and looks good with a bald head.
The Man Of Steel sequel - which revealed at Comic-Con 2013 that Superman would face DC Comics rival Batman - will open in 2015. Expect plenty more casting rumours before Warner Bros start making official announcements.
