A new trailer has been released for indie sci-fi flick Chronicle , in which a group of high-school boys suddenly find themselves empowered by a host of weird and wonderful abilities.
Naturally, their first impulse is to use them for a bit of a laugh, causing girls' skirts to fly up, making teddy bears levitate, that kind of thing. However, events take a turn for the worse as the boys' abilities begin to develop beyond their control, and it isn't long before people start getting hurt.
Take a look at the new trailer below...
We're quietly excited by this one, as both sections of the film seem genuinely engaging. The early scenes in which the boys are just mucking about seem fresh and funny, whilst the inevitable shift into darker waters looks suitably ominous.
Starring Michael B Jordan, Michael Kelly and Alex Russell, Chronicle will arrive in UK cinemas on 1 February 2012.
