John Boyega & Daisy Ridley think The Force Awakens is (shock, horror!) good

With a little over two weeks until it's finally released, the wait for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is almost over. Arguably no one has been more excited for the film than its two leads John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, who have put a smile on many a face when reacting to the numerous trailers on social media.

Speaking in an interview with Good Morning America, the two stars had only good things to say about the film's final cut: “It’s so good. It is so good. This is a great reminder that Star Wars is back after so long, and it’s a great balance between the new generation and the old", Boyega stated.

"I came out [after the movie] and was like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool.’ And then in the car I was like [she makes a crying face] the whole way, and then the whole way home — a 10-hour journey. It’s the first time I’ve ever really seen myself do something, so I was quite overwhelmed", Ridley added. While this probably doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, it's great to hear the positive reactions from the actors, and we'll be able to find out whether or not they're right soon enough.

Directed by Abrams and starring Andy Serkis, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in UK cinemas on December 17 2015 before opening in US theatres a day later.
