Some server problems last week left players without their rewards in Arc Raiders, and Embark's providing compensation in the latest patch. Meanwhile, if you've found the Electromagnetic Storm pushing through several maps to be interminable, the weather's been improved somewhat.
Per the patch notes, the lightning strikes in the storm were happening "too frequently," something that's now been rectified. The current frequency should be lower the next time you step out into the elements for some fine loot.
While stats aren't provided, reactions suggest rounds were becoming truly chaotic. "Had the most chaotic round ever trying to do the leaper trials on EM dam with my gf" in duos, one fan says on Reddit. "Pure care bear lobby and it was insanity with bodies everywhere," they add, saying they're "kinda sad" that it's gone.
Funnily enough, their reaction is quite common, at least among immediate commenters. "The EMS frequency was hilarious and fun," another player says. "Jesus Christ you'd think people would appreciate having a TINY bit of a challenge but no. Everything has to be made safe for idiots."
Someone else does call the lightning "obnoxious," making it clear there's a contingent who want change. Occasionally, you simply can't win in these scenarios, and Embark seems to be facing one of those here.
At the end, the team addresses disrupted post-match takings. "Last week's server issues caused some of you to lose your loadouts even after a successful extraction," the company says. "We are reviewing these cases and will return items where possible over the next few days."
Embark states it doesn't typically "offer compensation for every incident," but the amount of people affected makes this a worthwhile exception. "Thanks for bearing with us while we sorted it out."

A number of other fixes and tweaks are included as standard as well, but I suspect the fact you won't be struck down lightning instantaneously might be the most comforting.
