How to get Celestine in Subnautica 2
Once you reach the midway point in the story, Celestine becomes an important Subnautica 2 resource
To find Celestine in Subnautica 2, you must have reached the midgame section - but you also won't find any recipes that require Celestine until then, either. If you've somehow found yourself here by accident before then, turn away now to avoid spoilers. Otherwise, you're in the right place.
Celestine isn't too hard to find in Subnautica 2, but it could be mistaken for other resources at a distance, and you won't find it in abundance right away, so here's where to look when you want to craft the likes of the all-important Modification Station.
Where to find Celestine in Subnautica 2
Celestine is a mid-game resource that you won't be able to find until you cross over the water to the Alien Ruins. A few deposits can be found on the shelf the runs around this area at about 250m below the surface.
This is plenty to build yourself a Modification Station, which is one of the first and main Celestine recipes. You'll then need to use the Modification Station to craft a Depth Module for your Subnautica 2 tadpole, which in turn enables you to find more Celestine deposits.
You'll find these deposits around 700m from the Alien Ruins Research Center, at 120 degrees south-southeast, but much further beneath the surface, hence the requirement for the depth module.
With this module equipped, you'll also be able to reach even rarer materials, including Subnautica 2 Conduit Crystals. You should also look around this area for Subnautica 2 Creature Enamel, if you haven't found it already.

After studying Music and Lifestyle journalism and writing a column for a stylish lifestyle magazine in her hometown of Brighton, Danielle finally found her feet writing about videogames for WePC in 2021. She then honed her guides writing skills at PCGamesN between 2022 and 2026, when she took those skills to GamesRadar as a Guides Writer. Danielle's guides are a safe space - she definitely got stuck before you did, which is why she's perfect for the job. When she's not replaying the Silent Hill games or a more up-to-date single-player horror game, you'll find her fighting for her life in Dead by Daylight, tending to a garden in Stardew Valley, or doing both in Minecraft.
