Where to find Subnautica 2 Troilite
Troilite is a green-tinted mineral found in the deepest depths of Subnautica 2, in one location in particular
Subnautica 2 Troilite is used for crafting Mangalloy ingots and the Photovoltaic Charger tadpole modification, among other things, so you certainly won't need it until you're a significant way through the survival game. With that in mind, be warned that this guide contains information about a location you may not have seen yet, so it could be considered a spoiler.
If you're still after this tough-to-find ingredient, it can be found predominantly in one specific location, which can only be found 450m below the surface. The story is well underway at this point, and the home of Troilite in Subnautica 2 plays a crucial part in your survival and exploration.
Once more with feeling: this guide contains Subnautica 2 spoilers, so don't say you haven't been warned!
Where to get Subnautica 2 Troilite
Troilite is predominantly found in the Subnautica 2 metal farm below the Alien Power Plant.
This is a location you're likely to come across naturally once you've obtained the depth module for your tadpole, since you're bound to want to explore these new depths. If you still can't find it, head 820m from the Alien Ruins Research Center at a bearing of 75 degrees east, straight to the seabed at about 440m below.
You'll know you're heading the right way when you see the toxic green glow coming from the metal farm. You'll also hear the distinct music change that warns you of nearby predators. In this case, they're the deadly Epicurean, which can kill you in a few hits, but if you get your tadpole close to Troilite deposits before exiting to quickly retrieve the resource, you should be fine. Just make sure you have a med kit handy.
You may also come up against Electric Geordies, which attach themselves to your vehicle and deal substantial damage. You'll also want to take your repair tool, then, though you should realistically have this and a spare power cell with you whenever you take your tadpole out for a spin.
You'll use Troilite to make Subnautica 2 ingots, and some similar resources you can find around here include Subnautica 2 Celestine and even some super rare Conduit Crystals, so keep your eyes peeled as your explore.
