It seems Silent Hill Townfall, a spinoff of Konami's legendary horror series set in Scotland, will be a PlayStation console exclusive, at least at launch.
Silent Hill Townfall emerged from its four-year hibernation for last week's PlayStation State of Play with its first full-on trailer, showing its protagonist, Simon Ordell, arrive in the fictional Scottish town of St. Amelia in order to "put things right." There's fog, melancholic music, and clear evidence that something's gone horribly wrong here. In essence, a classic Silent Hill setup, for better or worse.
It also seems Silent Hill Townfall will continue Konami's long-running partnership with PlayStation as a PS5 console exclusive. Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 Remake had a one-year PS5 exclusivity window before launching on Xbox, although NeoBards' Silent Hill f launched on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X at the same time last September.
According to the official Silent Hill Townfall website, the game is only confirmed for PlayStation and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Also, looking back at press emails from last week, the only platforms listed are PS5 and PC. I'd be surprised if it never releases on Xbox, but it seems there's an exclusivity window similar to Silent Hill 2 Remake. I've reached out to Konami for clarification and will update this story if I hear back.
Whatever the platforms, Silent Hill Townfall is due out sometime in 2026.
There's still time for Silent Hill Townfall to join our list of the best horror games to play in 2026.

After earning an English degree from ASU, I worked as a corporate copy editor while freelancing for places like SFX Magazine, Screen Rant, Game Revolution, and MMORPG on the side. I got my big break here in 2019 with a freelance news gig, and I was hired on as GamesRadar's west coast Staff Writer in 2021. That means I'm responsible for managing the site's western regional executive branch, AKA my home office, and writing about whatever horror game I'm too afraid to finish.
