Not only is Pokopia concrete required for completing the Sparking Skylands story quests, it's also needed in rebuilding the floating island's Pokemon Center, so you may want it sooner rather than later.
Luckily, concrete is also a pretty fun material to make, with its own special machinery. That also means it's not easy to make at first, and it's not easy to figure out what you need to do, so I'll help you with that right here.
1. Collect Limestone
Limestone is the main resource needed to craft concrete, and you can pick some up in the caves in Rocky Ridges and Sparkling Skylands. To get more, though, you should consider travelling to the Rock Peak Pokopia Dream Island, where you'll be able to grab as much as you need.
2. Obtain a concrete mixer
Next, you need to get your hands on a specific item: the concrete mixer. This is obtained as part of the Sparkling Skylands story quest, so you'll just have to work through the story until you get the recipe. At that point, you can craft as many machines as you need.
3. Recruit a Pokemon with the Crush specialty
There are a few Pokopia Pokemon with the Crush speciality, including Onix and Conkeldurr. You'll need to find one and get them to follow you to the concrete maker.
4. Add limestone to the concrete mixer and assign the Pokemon to use it
There, you can place limestone into the maker and assign the Crush Pokemon to the machine. They'll operate it automatically, eventually turning limestone into concrete at a 1:1 ratio.
Now you know how to make concrete in Pokemon Pokopia, you'll be well on your way to completing the main story and restoring all the towns. There are probably still some Pokemon you haven't met yet though, so be sure to check out all the Pokemon with Pokopia Bulldoze specialty, and get their help to build houses for everyone.

After studying Music and Lifestyle journalism and writing a column for a stylish lifestyle magazine in her hometown of Brighton, Danielle finally found her feet writing about videogames for WePC in 2021. She then honed her guides writing skills at PCGamesN between 2022 and 2026, when she took those skills to GamesRadar as a Guides Writer. Danielle's guides are a safe space - she definitely got stuck before you did, which is why she's perfect for the job. When she's not replaying the Silent Hill games or a more up-to-date single-player horror game, you'll find her fighting for her life in Dead by Daylight, tending to a garden in Stardew Valley, or doing both in Minecraft.
