Crimson Desert's "enemy density issue is very real in the late game," says Palworld publishing chief, so head to this spot for challenges

Palworld publishing lead John "Bucky" Buckley has been one of Crimson Desert's most vocal champions in the field of high-profile industry voices, but even he admits the endgame is a little too peaceful.

This week, we reported on what appears to be a growing sentiment that, once you reach a certain point in Crimson Desert's late game, you start to run out of enemies to fight and thus ways to check off all of the game's challenges. Some would say you've beaten the game and done all the side quests, story over, but for people gunning for that 100%, it can be hard finding populated areas to complete certain challenges. Here's where your ol' pal, pun very much intended, Bucky comes to the rescue.

"The enemy density issue is very real in the late game, so I rolled back to a much earlier save to try and find 'optimal' ways to do challenges," reports Bucky on Twitter. "Ironically, it seems the best spot might be these Dodos though, which is unaffected by any camp clearing!"

Helpfully, Bucky also shared a video showing the exact map location of his Dodo camp, which you can check out right here:

Found a nice spot for doing weapon challenges in Crimson Desert. NE of Hernand, at Rocca's Hill. There is a Dodo nest that respawns every time you teleport in. If you stand in front of the lead Dodo, they all just sort of...stop moving. Very nice for wep challenges😇 pic.twitter.com/iz6YKPfC2JApril 8, 2026

According to Bucky, "if you stand in front of the lead Dodo, they all just sort of...stop moving," which makes this spot "very nice for wep challenges."

So there you have it, folks, the answer to the lack of things to do in Crimson Desert's endgame, straight from... John Buckley, head of publishing at Palworld studio Pocketpair. Bet you didn't see that coming.

It's no wonder Crimson Desert players are dying for more to do, as they're averaging about 20 hours a week of playtime in the open-world behemoth, which is way, way more than pretty much any other game on console's averages.
