GTA 6 launch has Take-Two's CEO a "billion" times more "scared" than any other game release

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has admitted he's feeling the pressure when it comes to the release of GTA 6 later this year.
Speaking at the Interactive Innovation Conference (via Variety) Zelnick admits "I run so scared with regard to all of our releases," but when it comes to the launch of GTA 6, you can "just multiply it by a billion this time around."
Zelnick, however, says that he should be scared, adding: "I think the minute you stop running scared, you better get a different job if you're in the entertainment business. Because [if] you claim success before you have it – you will largely be wrong."
Article continues belowElsewhere in the conversation, Zelnick says: "We're blessed that we have some of the greatest creative talent on earth working inside the four walls of Take-Two and all of our affiliates." He notes that "the way you create hits is to find the most talented people, encourage them to work within your system and then give them unlimited resources – financial, creative, technical and human – to pursue their passion," which certainly tracks given how long GTA 6 has seemingly been in development.
Granted, it's an understandable fear since it's probably not a stretch to say GTA 6 is the single most-anticipated game ever made. And I can tell you with no uncertainty now that there are going to be a number of people who will be let down when it eventually releases, no matter how good it turns out, because it's going to be nigh impossible for almost anything to live up to 13 years of hype. But as far as Zelnick is concerned, it's going to sell millions of copies and make a ton of money, so he's probably not got too much to worry about.
