The Diablo 4 The One That Got Away quest will significantly test your angling knowledge, as you have to find and catch six rare fish – the Augur of Civo, Morayaga, Crookfish, Zakarati, Neme-Senga, and Drakonbeard. While previous fishing assignments could be completed at Shi Yugong's Haven in Skovos, you'll have to travel across Sanctuary for this one as your targets are scattered far and wide. Diablo 4 The One That Got Away fish locations
You should now be familiar with the process of Diablo 4 fishing, however what you might not know is that certain fish appear exclusively in one region only, and the six fish you're after here are each unique to one of the six regions of Sanctuary. It therefore pays to know which one can be found in each area, and also where you can actually go fishing there as some of the regions are either parched deserts or frozen expanses.
Below I've listed which fish can be caught in each region, as well as a potential fishing location close to a Diablo 4 fast travel waypoint for ease of accessing them quickly:
- Augur of Civo – found in Dry Steppes
Beach west of Ked Bardu - Morayaga – found in Fractured Peaks
Bridge on east side of Yelesna - Crookfish – found in Hawezar
Walkway on east side of Backwater - Zakarati – found in Kehjistan
Docks on southwest side of Gea Kul - Neme-Senga – found in Nahantu
Pier on west side of Kurast Docks - Drakonbeard – found in Scosglen
Pier on west side of Marowen
Keep fishing in each spot until you land the unique fish for that region, and remember that as with the previous Diablo 4 Favor for a Favor quest you must catch the Rare variant of each fish marked with yellow text, as other varieties including Unique and Legendary won't count towards your progress. When you have them all, use the Consumables menu to add the Rare Augur of Civo, Morayaga, Crookfish, Zakarati, Neme-Senga, and Drakonbeard to your collection, then return to Shi Yugong in Skovos to claim your reward.
