Some Battlefield 6 players still can't hear enemies creeping up on them, so devs are doing "a full pass" to fix niggling sound issues for good: "Hoping we can share more details on that soon"

If you've been encountering problems with Battlefield 6's audio, as many players have, then there's a top-down revamp coming to EA's blockbuster FPS. A complete review of the sound and effects is underway, with the intention of ironing out niggling frustrations people have had since launch.

As much was revealed by Florian Le Bihan, principal game designer on Battlefield 6, in response to a complaint about not hearing in-game footsteps. "The entire in-game audio is receiving a full pass to solve those issues, including fixing some issues that caused some sounds to completely cut," he says on Twitter.

Footfall has been one of the bigger niggles here, with players suffering from getting blindsided by adversaries they would've been able to counter had they heard their steps nearby. But it's not just reserved to regular boots on the ground.

There have been reports of the same happening for vehicles, whereby literal tanks are pulling up on unsuspecting victims who couldn't hear the thunderous rolling, and other quibbles. Even just from responses to Le Bihan's own tweet include a myriad of examples, suggesting this is close to being game-wide. A fix is in the offing though, and don't worry, you'll definitely hear about this one coming.

At the cost of his "sanity," Battlefield 6 player hits max rank with what is by far the worst vehicle in the game, sagely concludes: "It's a bad vehicle."
