Fortnite wolf spawns are handy locations to know if you need to find one of these predatory beasts, and there are several reasons why you might want to do that. Firstly, you can now ride wolves in Fortnite, which will help you get around the island a lot quicker, and secondly they've already started appearing in the Fortnite quests so will no doubt continue to feature there during the season.

What makes riding Fortnite wolves so special is that, unlike regular vehicles, they don't run out of fuel, which means you can travel with them over great distances in Fortnite without ever having to stop for gas. However, they are a lot less durable than vehicles too, so if an opponent opens fire on them you could soon lose your mount. If you want to know where the Fortnite wolf spawn locations are or how to jump on them, we've got all the information you need.
Fortnite wolf spawns and wolves locations
As a general rule you'll find Fortnite wolves around wooded areas and anywhere that feels outdoorsy. However, it's largely random and there's always a chance that other players could have got to them first or they've wandered away from the more obvious spots. We've marked the Fortnite map above to highlight the areas where Fortnite wolf spawns usually occur, which are as follows:
- South of Rave Cave
- Southeast of Logjam Lumberyard
- Southwest of Shifty Shafts
- Loot Lava Volcano Station (east of Coney Crossroads)
- Sunflower's Saplings (southeast of Sleepy Sound)
- Ocean Outpost (east of Sleepy Sound)
- North of The Daily Bugle
- East of The Daily Bugle
- Northwest of Tilted Towers
- North of Rocky Reels
- Northeast of Rocky Reels
- Southeast of Greasy Grove
- Optimized Outpost (west of The Joneses)
How to ride Fortnite wolves
Thankfully they're no longer the ferocious beasts they once were, so no prior taming is required now to ride Fortnite wolves – simply jump on their backs and you'll automatically tame them then tag along for the ride. While riding a wolf in Fortnite you can click the left stick to charge, jump in the usual way, and dismount by either holding the appropriate button or double jumping. Once you dismount the animal it will continue to follow you around, so you don't need to worry about it running away while you hop off to do other tasks.
