Fortnite campfires are an often overlooked asset in the battle royale, but they're particularly important if you want to stoke campfires near different hatcheries as a legendary entry in the Fortnite Week 7 quests. Usually when you find your HP is dropping low you'll turn to medikits and bandages, or perhaps even the many different Fortnite foraged items you can harvest, however if you find one of the Fortnite campfires then you can essentially top up your health for free. Adding in a small amount of wood mats will stoke the flames to keep the healing fire burning, and even if the campfire has been previously extinguished you can still invest a couple of hundred wood to rekindle it.

Fortnite campfires may not be the best source of health overall, but if you (or your squad) are in a bind then they can really help you out, especially if you're approaching the Fortnite endgame and don't have any more healing items in your inventory. Check out the our map below, and we'll show you where to find all of the Fortnite campfires locations.

Your first thought when told to stoke campfires near different hatcheries was probably to head to Holly Hatchery, as that's the most prominent hatchery on the map, however there aren't actually any Fortnite campfires in or around that area. Instead, you need to think back to the Fortnite wooden hatchery you constructed earlier, where you may have noticed that a new campfire has appeared outside the shack you used. We've marked these three hatchery locations on the map above, so you need to visit two of them and light the Fortnite campfires you find there, before using 30 wood to stoke the flames.

They're fairly well spread across the map, though there are clusters at Believer Beach and Weeping Woods, as well as along the south coast if you want a better chance of finding one unused. If you're with a squad in need of healing then make sure you've all gathered round before someone activates one of the Fortnite campfires, and consider putting up some protective walls so you don't get sniped while topping up your health!
