Green Lantern fans have had to wait a long time for one of DC Comics greatest heroes to get his own game, but this year Hal Jordan and the rest of the Lantern Corps will star in Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters. Yes, it%26rsquo;s a tie-in to the upcoming Ryan Reynolds%26rsquo; film, but don%26rsquo;t dismiss it so soon, at least not without seeing the first footage from the title.
The CG trailer shows the Lantern home world of Oa being attacked by the robot scourge of the Manhunters. Earth%26rsquo;s Lantern Hal Jordan teams up with fellow ring-wielders Kilowog and Sinestro to put their thought controlled rings to use blasting away at the android menace. We%26rsquo;re not sure when it takes place in relation to the film, and we%26rsquo;re still not the biggest fans of the film%26rsquo;s interpretation of the classic costumes, but as a GL fan it%26rsquo;s hard not to be excited for any game based on the series, and we look forward to seeing what developer Double Helix (Silent Hill: Homecoming, Front Mission Evolved) can pull off.
