All the new shows and movies that will be streaming on Prime Video in May 2026
It's the end of April, which means that it's time to look ahead to everything new on Prime Video in May 2026. There are some really big releases this month, with the long-awaited Spider-Noir swinging its way onto screens alongside a new season of the ace spy thriller Citadel.
As we're not in May just yet, this is not quite the complete list. Prime typically adds loads of new films to its catalog on the first day of each month, for example. We'll update the page as soon as we have more information. As ever, all dates are subject to change.

Citadel season 2
The second run of this pumped-up espionage thriller (which is executive-produced by the Russo Brothers) picks up the pieces from the explosive season one finale. Mason (Richard Madden) has learned some shocking truths and now he, Nadia (Priyanka Chopra), and Bernard (Stanley Tucci) must fight back against the forces of Manticore and its plans to alter the future of humanity. To do so will involve recruiting a new crew of specialists as well as confronting Mason's dubious history.
Citadel is unashamedly silly, so don't go into this expecting a more grounded, Slow Horses style spy show. As if to emphasize that point, Matt Berry has joined the cast. If you like your spy-fi full of guns, gadgets, and big ideas, then this is the one for you.
Citadel season 2 is streaming from May 6.
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War
There are more spy games in this new movie. John Krasinski returns as Tom Clancy's hero Jack Ryan in a spin-off from the Prime Video TV show. Jack is pulled back into action when he uncovers a conspiracy linked to a sinister black-ops unit. A major threat is on the horizon and Ryan and his team of agents are the only ones who can stop it.

This sounds very much like classic Clancy territory with a ticking clock counting down to disaster unless the spy can save the day. We enjoyed the show and Krasinski's take on the character. This looks like more of the same, but on a grander globe-trotting scale.
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War is streaming from May 20.
Spider-Noir
Get ready for a Spider-Man show like no other! Spider-Noir tells the story of Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), a struggling private eye who also used to be New York's only superhero: The Spider. Now older and more cynical, he is forced back into the costume when a case forces him to confront his past.
Slightly remarkably, this is the first live-action Spider-Man TV show since the 1970s! Spider-Noir is a very different take on the character, however, riffing on the character from the Spider-Verse movies. Expect a darker, more horror-tinged show than previous Spider-stories, too. We can't wait.
Spider-Noir is streaming from May 27.
