It's official: Wonder Man is returning for season 2 on Disney Plus, with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams and Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery. That's great news for fans of the critically lauded streaming show, which focuses on the relationship between Simon and Trevor rather than a typical straightforward superhero show.
Wonder Man season 1 was one of the best-reviewed Marvel shows, not smashing streaming records but enchanting critics and fans alike with its character-driven approach, its sensitivity, and its humor. It's no surprise that Marvel Studios would be chasing more critical acceptance for their Marvel Phase 6 projects like the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday.
With several years of Marvel release dates ahead of us stretching into 2028, there's a lot to stay on top of. Fortunately, we've got you covered with our guide to everything we know about Wonder Man season 2, including release date speculation, the confirmed cast, what we know of the plot, and more.
Wonder Man season 2 release date speculation
No release date for Wonder Man 2 has been announced, and it might be a little while before we know when it will premiere on Disney Plus. Given Marvel's packed release schedule, it seems entirely likely that it could be 2028 before Wonder Man season 2 hits, as the MCU will have to get through Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday first.
Is there a Wonder Man season 2 trailer yet?
There's no trailer yet for Wonder Man season 2 as the show's return has only just been announced. Given how long pre-production, filming, and finishing the show is likely to take, it will be some time before we get a glimpse at the show's return.
Who is in the Wonder Man season 2 cast?
Wonder Man season 2 is confirmed to bring back main characters Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) and Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), whose relationship formed the core of the first season.
The show's creators, director Destin Daniel Cretton and writer Andrew Guest, are also back on board for Wonder Man season 2, so we're expecting it to come back full swing.

Here's the main cast of Wonder Man season 1, many of whom could likely return in season 2:

- Ben Kingsley – Trevor Slattery
- Zlatko Burić – Von Kovak
- Arian Moayed – Agent Cleary
- X Mayo – Janelle Jackson
- Byron Bowers – DeMarr Davis/Doorman

What could the Wonder Man season 2 plot cover?
No plot details for Wonder Man season 2 have been revealed, but there are some likely threads from the first season that we're expecting to play directly into the show's return.
For one thing, Wonder Man season 1 concluded with Simon Williams using his powers to break Trevor Slattery out of prison. That is likely to form the backbone of a major season 2 plot.
There's also a very good chance that Wonder Man season 2 will focus on Simon's newfound movie stardom as the lead actor in the MCU's mega-successful Wonder Man film, though whether he continues to pursue a career in acting (or even can) following that prison break remains to be seen.
