Crunchyroll has responded in the wake of allegations that over 100 GB of data has been extracted from its ticketing system, including personal data and credit card info.
In a statement to GamesRadar+, a Crunchyroll spokesperson said, "We are aware of recent claims and are currently working closely with leading cybersecurity experts to investigate the matter."
Cybersecurity newsletter International Cyber Digest reported on the development, which the hacker claimed took place on March 12.
"We've analyzed sample data, and it includes IP addresses, email addresses, credit card details, and more," they wrote on Twitter, adding that the hacker(s) had access through a breach at outsourcing partner Telus.

While we wait for more news, in wider industry happenings, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has been slated for a spring 2026 release on Crunchyroll, though there's no word from the anime streamer yet on whether Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is making its way onto the platform just yet.
On the prospect of a Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle sequel, Crunchyroll CEO previously told The Hollywood Reporter that there's "urgency" in getting the follow-up in cinemas, but stopped short of giving a date for the Ufotable adaptation.
"Well, we've announced that it will be a trilogy of movies, but our partners at Aniplex and Ufotable haven't decided on dates yet," Parini said last September. "But look, there's definitely urgency for all of us to bring more Demon Slayer to fans as soon as we can – because we know the urgency is there among the fanbase."
