While most kids are wasting all their phone credit on votes for Big Brother or wearing their thumbs to a nub, desperately trying to get to the next level on their Nintendo DS, the Pevensie kids are hanging out with lions and knocking off evil witches.
The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe raked in the moolah at the box office last year and finally, a shooting date for part 2 has been pencilled in.
Prince Caspian, the tale that sees the Pevensie children having to battle against an evil King to restore the rightful ruler of Narnia to the throne, is slated to start shooting in January. The first flick was shot in New Zealand but helmer Andrew Adamson has shifted production on Caspian to the forests of Europe – and expects to bring the project home in time for a summer 2008 release.
With one eye on the fact that their child stars won’t be cute little kids forever, Adamson and producer Mark Johnson have told The Hollywood Reporter that production on part 3, entitled Voyage Of The Dawn Treader, will kick off a year after Caspian is in the can.
Dawn Treader sees the intrepid ankle-biters get pulled into a painting with their whiney cousin Eustace. They take to the sea with Caspian in an attempt to find the seven lost Lords of Narnia.
The rumours that Narnia 4 pits the Pevensie kids against each other and every week, two of them face a public vote to see who will get their own show on E4 and who will release an exercise video are mercifully untrue.
