This morning, at 7:39:43 a.m. EDT, a GOG.com user Dotur purchased Icewind Dale 2, pushing the digital storefront’s nique game sales counter to the 6 million mark.To mark this milestone, GOG will be sending him a gift certificate redeemable for its entire game catalogue — lucky guy. For everyone else, GOG is celebrating by offering Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Director’s Cut free for 48 hours. The offer expires October 1st at 7:59 a.m. EDT, and you can get the game here.
Shadow of the Templars is a classic point and click detective mystery starring George Stobbart, and American in Paris who happens to see an accordion-playing clown rushing out of a cafe with a briefcase. Moments later, an explosion knocks George off his feet, and and through investigating his circumstances George soon finds himself caught in a conspiracy much bigger than he could have imagined.
As with all GOG games, Shadow of the Templars is DRM-free. All you'll need to download and play the game is an account. You can use a preexisting account or make a new one. It doesn't cost anything to sign up, so do it today. Or do it tomorrow. But if you wait longer than that, you'll miss out on this free adventure.
