This is not a drill. A tiny palm-sized NES is coming from Nintendo in November

In a week of all things Pokemon, Nintendo has just announced the release of the ultra-adorable Nintendo Classic Mini NES (opens in new tab) which literally fits in the palm of your hand. Consider this Christmas gold dust as the new NES is out November 11 globally with 30 games included.

The Classic Mini comes with a ridiculously cute NES controller and the games include Super Mario Bros 1,2, and 3, Donkey Kong, Metroid and Pac-Man. You'll also be able to buy another NES controller separately but the tiny console will also work with both the Wii Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro. The new NES controller meanwhile can be used to play classic titles on the Wii U and the Wii.

The whole thing plugs in via HDMI to your TV and is powered via USB with an AC adaptor but this isn't included in the box. Sneaky. The below games will have suspend points so no losing your save.

There's no pricing just yet and the website is constantly crashing - who knew this would be popular? - but we'll update you as soon as we know more.

Update: Nintendo of America confirms the NES Mini will cost $59.99 in the US and extra controllers will cost $9.99. We'll let you know once we get the UK prices.
