J is for Joe Hisaishi (composer)

Hayao Miyazaki’s trusted go-to-guy for an awesome soundtrack. Hisaishi has been with Studio Ghibli since Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind in 1984 and has been responsible for the scores for Laputa aka Castle In The Sky , My Neighbor Totoro , Kiki's Delivery Service , Porco Rosso , Princess Mononoke , Spirited Away , Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo . Hisaishi also picked up his baton for the forthcoming release of The Wind Is Rising . Give this man an Oscar!
