Guest announcements for Kapow! Comic Con: UPDATED

Green Lantern joins Thor, Misfits, Merlin, Falling Skies, Being Human, Attack The Block and more at Mark Millar's London event

Only a week to go until Mark Millar’s Kapow! Comic Con (9-10 April 2011), and the guest list is shaping up rather nicely. Alongside an already-confirmed A-list of comic book talent including John Romita Jr, Dave Gibbons, Bryan Hitch, Paul Cornell, Jonathan Ross and, of course, Millar himself, the show has unveiled its film and TV line-up – and it’s well worth getting excited about…

  • NEW! UK-exclusive footage from Green Lantern , plus the UK premiere of animated spin-off Emerald Knights (out on Blu-ray on 7 June).
  • A Marvel Movies panel featuring Thor stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. [Unfortunately, despite previous reports, Kenneth Branagh is not attending]
  • Misfits stars Iwan Rheon (Simon) and Lauren Socha (Kelly), and executive producer Petra Fried will be in town for an exclusive series 3 announcement.
  • Merlin co-creator and producer Johnny Capps joins lead quartet Colin Morgan (Merlin), Bradley James (Arthur), Katie McGrath (Morgana) and Angel Coulby (Gwen) for a live Q&A.
  • A WORLD PREMIERE of the pilot episode of Steven Spielberg’s new alien invasion drama, Falling Skies , courtesy of FX.
  • A video interview with The Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln, who’s just started shooting the show's second season.
  • A Q&A with Being Human creator Toby Whithouse.
  • Joe “Adam and Joe” Cornish showing off exclusive footage from his new aliens vs hoodies movie Attack The Block (we’ve seen it and it’s ace), and taking part in a Q&A with his cast.
  • An audience with Doctor Who writer and member of the League Of Gentlemen Mark Gatiss .

Tickets for the event – which takes place at the London Business Design Centre in Islington – are only available in advance, and can’t be purchased on the door – so you'd better get your skates on. Visit www.kapowcomiccon.com for details.
