While we already knew Arnold Schwarzenegger was on board for Terminator: Genisys, it sounds as though the action legend plans to be involved with the franchise for a while to come, confirming he is set to appear in the next sequel also.
Schwarzenegger was asked the question during an interview with TheArnoldFans.com, to which he replied, “yes, of course, next year”.
Paramount has already confirmed release dates for Terminator 6 and 7 in 2017 and 2018 respectively, with the studio apparently planning to shoot those two films back to back.
Naturally, the arrival of these films will depend to a certain degree on how well Genisys performs, but all being well, it sounds as though we’ll be seeing Schwarzenegger in action for some time to come.
Directed by Alan Ball and co-starring Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney and Jason Clarke, Terminator: Genisys will open in the US on 1 July 2015 and the UK two days later.
