The best fake video game movies you'll never see

We love games. We love films. And most of all, we love a good pun. That’s why we’ve taken some of our favourite movies and games and stuffed them into a giant blender for mighty mash-up results. Ever wondered what would happen if Kratos collided with the Corleone crime family? Or if Sackboy met Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes? Well wonder no more, because we've answered your day-dreaming prayers with the following mash-up movie posters.

God of War meets The Godfather

Alone in the Dark meets Home Alone

LittleBigPlanet meets Planet of the Apes

F.E.A.R. meets Cape Fear

The Half-Life logo always reminds me of Aphex Twin's logo. It can't be denied that they're very similar. Anyone else think that?
  • NanoElite666 - November 27, 2009 5:51 p.m.

Great stuff. On a similar note, whatever happened to those movie clips set to game music thing that you guys used to do a while back? Those were great.

The posters for Miller's Animal Crossing and Jurassic Pac made me laugh for a good 10 minutes. Great article Dave.
  • Samael - November 28, 2009 2:20 a.m.

@oryandymackie Bzzt! Wrong. First of all, Half-Life uses the Lambda symbol as its logo I looked up Aphex Twin's logo and it barely looks similar. So yes, it can be denied.
  • speno93 - November 28, 2009 3:36 a.m.

Good article, i loved the Jurassic Pac one. the way its just trailed off into "waka, waka,waka,waka..." just made my day
  • GameManiac - November 28, 2009 4:41 a.m.

All of this is pure randomness to me, and I like it! Oh! I just thought of one! The Need for SpeedRACER. I think there's enough new ones in the comment departments to make a sequel.
