Chris you will be missed .. but I do have Laser Time .. YES!!! And for godsakes stop letting Henry on or I swear to christ I'll jump through the f'ing internet and kick you in the throat!!!
  • LordZarlon - October 18, 2011 2:20 p.m.

I don't believe Chris is really leaving. It has to be a joke. The way he announced it was so abrupt that I don't believe it.

I'm really sad that chris and brett are leaving but I loved talkradar 181 where mikel proved that he is more than enough to create a podcast by his own. I have hope that he will continue the legacy with the same quality that we have expect talkradar to have.

I totally missed it the first time around, so seeing all these comments was a surprise. That was a goddamn bummer. No offense to the rest of the Talkradar/Gamesradar crew, but it simply isn't the same without Chris or Brett. Losing Brett hurt, but at least we still had Chris. Now with both gone, this simply will not be the Talkradar I've been listening to the past three and a half years. It was a fantastic run; such a shame to see it go. I don't even know how I can properly express my love for the 'Dar over these past few years. I literally get teary-eyed listening to the older 'casts, especially the Christmas specials. FYI, I will indeed be going back and listening to them this holiday season - it always brings back such good memories of playing random PC games while listening to Talkradar. Jeez, I am really bummed out; I've grown to identify Fridays with the best day of the week, first in high school, and now in college. Way back, I was sincerely hoping to be celebrating Tdar 500, but I don't see that happening now. I don't even want to stop typing, I'm so sad. I haven't been posting regularly or visiting the forums much lately, and now there's even less incentive now that the soul of Tdar is gone. I realize how dismissive and terrible this is to the rest of the crew, but please understand that Brett's Toys R Us stories and Chris dog-sh*tting-on-own-balls-esque stories was predominantly the reason I fell in love with your stupid, wacky podcast. Looking back now, I can think of plenty of moments where a normal day or activity was punctuated with an unexpected laugh or outright hysteria because Chris said something horribly, horribly insensitive. For example, I was making my parent's new Ikea bed while listening to podcast 25, and I will forever associate the two along with the feeling of pure joy. I think I'll stop here before I bust out crying.

You guys used a Final Fantasy Final Fantasy song. I love you so much. Also can we get a link for that? It was the second (?) middle song.
  • Randomwordcombination - October 17, 2011 5:06 a.m.

Man, I am really not a fan of the way that Chris makes these announcements. Can't say i'm surprised, though, I've seen this coming a mile away. What gets me, though, is that they repeatedly say that the podcast isn't dying... but with Brett gone, once Chris leaves, the podcast will already be dead. I love Mikel, Charlie, etc, but in no way should this be called the same show.
  • TheMagnificentManCooker - October 17, 2011 12:14 a.m.

God dang it I wish I started listening sooner Gonna miss you Chris
  • Robusken - October 16, 2011 11:23 p.m.

Well it's been sort of apparent for a while that this job as a whole has been holding you back Chris ( at least thats why I think your leaving.) Even though you said the podcast wasn't sorta is. I love the rest of the GR crew and what they do on the site but the podcast will most likely crumble in some fashion. Everything can't last forever so I wish everyone luck on the path that they choose. I know there is still laser time but I kinda doubt i'll ever really get to that. One last request: Chris, one more Duke Lombardi before you're official gone
  • DonCheadleVStheworld - October 18, 2011 3:04 p.m.

I second the Duke Lombardi request!
  • practicallyhitler - October 16, 2011 10:42 p.m.

Just finished Tdar 182. WTF!?! That is some serious sh*t to drop on people at (literally) the last minute like that! Antista, you really make this podcast. I can't help but think whatever it becomes next will be a drastic shift. As much as I love the remaining GR crew, I just don't know how this keeps going now. If only there were a podcast named after the protagonist of one of the games you discussed in this show, that could certainly make me feel better...
  • Mister-Fap-Johnson - October 16, 2011 9:19 p.m.

Laser Time that's real? Sweet! thanks NobleSix & somerandomchap for informing us about this. (^_^)
  • LitJackson - October 16, 2011 6:47 p.m.

Gonna miss you Chris, this podcast and site wont be the same without you.
  • NobleSix - October 16, 2011 5:43 p.m.

I was really sad when Chris said he wass leaving. However I was overjoyed when I discovered their new podcast, Laser Time. A podcast with Chris, Brett, Mikel, Tyler and Henry full of booze and random topics? Win. Tdar fans need to check it out
  • porjos - October 17, 2011 7:06 a.m.

If your gamertag is the same as your forum name...I totally played with you in Gears of War 3 yesterday (I have a good memory)...small world?
  • super0sonic - October 16, 2011 12:01 p.m.

Show needs more Coop Troop. He is the best new host!!!
  • codystovall - October 16, 2011 3:05 p.m.

    Nuh-uh, keast is.
  • practicallyhitler - October 16, 2011 10:50 p.m.

Mike Grimm's probably my favorite "new" host. He cracks me up every time he's on, even if he is a horrible, trolling misanthrope. Actually, it's probably BECAUSE he's a horrible, trolling misanthrope.
  • pastycaucasian - October 16, 2011 11:46 a.m.

Noooo Chris why are you leaving you made the podcast I am sad now :( we are the funniest person on the podcast. Well whatever you are going to do I will ready to support you :).
  • somerandomchap - October 16, 2011 4:24 a.m.

Chris we will miss you, but i am glad we have lasertime with the original hosts of tdar, it makes a great dynamic. Coop is awesome, having a fresh voice is great and he seems like a cool guy. Beyond a doubt mikel and hank could carry this podcast, especially if matt and coop keep coming on.
