Steam Summer Camp Sale: Dead Rising 2 $19.99, Tomb Raider games 75% off, and more

We’re into day eight of the Steam Summer Camp Sale, and there’s no sign of it stopping. We’re not sure how many more values we can take. Anyway, today’s collection of one-day-only sales is filled with franchises familiar to PC and console gamers alike, whether you enjoy street fighting, tomb raiding, commanding and conquering, or simply shooting someone in the face.

Capcom has a two-pack of savings with Street Fighter IV and Dead Rising 2 marked down 50% to $14.99 and $19.99 respectively, while Valve’s own Counter-Strike: Source is $4.99, SimCity-esque Cities XL 2011 is priced at $7.99, and indie gem AudioSurf is cut down to $1.49. Additionally. there are franchise-wide sales that include genre-changing FPS Quake, the most recent Command & Conquers, RTS sensation Company of Heroes, and all the Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider games (from Legend up to last year’s Guardian of Light).

That’s a pretty strong list of deals lasting only another 20-plus hours, so if any grab you, you better move fast.

    Their feet look weird.

Thank goodness there is finally a day where there is nothing I want or don't already have. I already had a stupidly big backlog of games spanning across 4 platforms before this sale even started. I just got Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate edition, which is a couple hundred hours of gameplay alone. I will never get caught up.

Should I be ashamed of not identifying the woman on the left? And regardless, do the Steam mascots (shadows on the lower right of the pic) have names?

@StrayGator Don't worry, I have no idea either. and how did Cammy not get in this picture? She's basically wearing a swimsuit already (yes, I know it's a leotard, but it's close enough.)

@StrayGator It's the woman from the Rift box and promos

Christ this is hard on my credit card. There has only been one day where I haven't bought anything. Microsoft and Sony could really learn from Steam. I don't include Nintendo because they are pretty much clueless when it comes to pricing or having anything online.

    Chun-li has two right feet

Steam has taken so much of my money during this sale. This is the first time I've ever been backlogged on gaming. Now if only my internet had less of a cap so I could start PLAYING >.<

Yes, Chun Li has two right feet. Not a very exciting sale. All I've bought so far is Braid. Capcom just doesn't seem to understand the sale at all, simply putting every game at 50% off regardless of how old it is. Why would someone buy SFIV when the new version came out 3 days ago? And the holding out on Portal 2 is annoying. We practically know it's going to go for at least 50% off. Just do it already.

Does anyone else have a feeling that July 10th is going to be freaking awesome? Hopefully it's not all stuff I already own. That's been my problem with the sale.

Maybe it was just too obvious to bother doing, but how could you have passed up the opportunity to say in the title "Lara Croft 75% off"?
