Five new Prey 2 screens take science fiction to Vegas

We liked Prey — we don't remember it anymore, but we’re sure liked it. Prey 2 is starting to look like something we could love. We're not saying we're going to rush into anything, but as of seeing these sizzling new screens, maybe we'd ask for its number. If that works, we might take it out to a nice dinner — nothing too fancy, but definitely somewhere we could sit and talk. If we get along and we're in a good place in our lives... who knows? Maybe it could be love.

Prey 2 is ditching a few things (like the main character) from the first Prey. It's not going to focus on the same portal puzzle mechanic (that was accused of being gimmicky), and has re-prioritized what's important. It's now clearly focused on being a solidly over-the-top shooter with elements of RPGs, parkour, and Blade Runner — awesome. For more info you can check out our preview from E3.

Looks sexy. I've been looking forwards to this game ever since I saw its trailer at E3. Can only see the Wild West theme from the trailer in the first pic but hey, these are only 5 images of a massive game.

This reminds me alot of Star Wars Bounty Hunter. I hope that there are actualy stealth oppertunites in the game, from the trailers I have seen, the bonty always ends the same way, a shootout and then a chase.

@Austincharlesbon, I agree with you completly, but I think the developers are more worried about markting a new IP, I guess the simple fact its a sequel to something will make it easier to sell, or at least thats what they're hoping. Regardless of marketing this game looks fantastic, ive already got my eye on a pre-order and if it lives up to expectations I fully expect to enjoy it more thsn all of the big 'trilogy' shooters out this year

I'm scared this will suffer from what I call "Red Steel 2" syndrome. A game that is great and shares little with the original will be ignored because of affiliation with the original. Why can't they just make it a new IP instead? It seems so different from the first.

I love the art style of this game. Why can't more games go for amazing looking art styles instead of same generic middle eastern village, Russian military base, abandoned suburb, etc.

They must not have completely ditched the main character since he's in that last screenshot.

I really loved the first Prey. I'm super excited for this game.

I enjoyed this article nearly as much as I enjoyed the fact that Paul Ryan wrote it.
