When it premiered at E3 2007, Echochrome was the talk of the town, were the internet a town and forum posters people. Nearly a year has passed since then with very few things being mentioned as its buzz slowly quieted. Then a bolt from the blue appeared in the form of a post on the official Playstation blog. The post let everyone know that the game, scheduled for a May launch, will have its demo released tomorrow on PSN and for PSP.
The demo for the MC Escher inspired puzzler is easily enough downloaded, either through the Playstation Store on your PS3 or at the Playstation Store for PC if you want to try it on the go with your PSP. They also released some new screens and a new trailer that gives a brief tutorial on the mind bending title.
When the game is released each version will have 56 different puzzles, so those truly hooked will have to get both for all the fun. Also, you can make puzzles of your own, send them to the developers and they may get added to any future DLC. It would be quite an honor to buy a map that you designed, wouldn’t it?
