Destiny 2: Xur location, weapons and armour Sept 29- Oct 3, Should you buy Riskrunner?

What's Xur selling this week and is worth the shards? This week in Destiny 2 he's on IO, in Giant's Scar. It's good news for people who like fighting up close with Riskrunner on offer, while Titans gets a solar boost with the Hallowfire Heart chest armour. Warlocks gets the energy weapon-reloading Transversive Steps and Hunters... well, they get something too.

As ever he'll be around until the weekly reset on Tuesday so no rush.

Where is Xur?

Xur's in Giant's Scar on IO this week. When you spawn head through the gates just to the right and he's in a cave behind the small hut you pass on the left. Head in and turn right, and he'll there lurking about in the corner.

What's Xur selling this week?

It's a good week for Titans with Hallowfire Heart, some chest armour that's great if you're a solar class. Transversive steps is handy for Warlocks who use energy weapons and run a lot, while Riskrunner is a great little submachine gun with arc damage. Let's take a look.

Riskrunner, submachine gun - 29 shards

This is a great gun for fans of Zhalo Supercell. Like that Destiny 1 Exotic this has a chance of inflicting arc damage on enemies, but only when you're taking damage yourself. So, like Supercell it's great at crowd control but, with the more spray and prey nature of submachine guns, favours use at a closer ranks. If you have high resilience and don't mind charging face first into a crowd of Thralls this can do a lot of damage. That said, it's one of the more accurate subs, so is a passible, if not great, mid range weapon.

Transversive Steps, Warlock boots - 23 shards

If you like energy weapons, and who doesn't? Then Transversive Steps is a handy set of shoes to have under the stairs, or wherever Guardians keep their stuff when they get home. Not only will it increase your sprinting speed but it'll reload your energy weapons when you do. So if you lean on that type of gun this is a great way to keep the bullets coming. You can also trade of some of that mobility for resilience if you fancy a little more protection.

Mechaneer's Tricksleeves, Hunter gauntlets - 23 shards

The Mechaneer's Tricksleeves are probably not great unless you love sidearms. And I mean really, really love sidearms. It's main ability is that it increases a sidearm's ready and reload speeds. It's got a choice between a decent mobility or a small resilience boost in the perks, but unless you live for your sidearm, probably worth skipping.

Hallowfire Heart, Titan chest armour - 23 shards

One for the hammer loving Titans this week as Hallowfire Heart greatly improves the recharge of your Solar abilities while Hammer of Sol is charged. So as long as you save that super you'll have far more flaming punches and grenades to play with. It's got perks that will give you either a mid-range mobility and resilience bosst, or split things more evenly between mobility, resilience and recovery. But, really, it's all about the maxing out that solar potential.
