Dead or Alive 5 trailer reveals some familiar faces

New characters are revealed in the latest trailer

Get ready! Fight! Tecmo Koei just released a new trailer for their upcoming fighting game Dead or Alive 5. The new E3 trailer looks to be the best one yet showing its much more than pretty girls with big boobs. The gameplay footage shows that the game is sticking to its four-point hold system, has interactive levels and boasts improved visuals over its predecessors. Kokoro, Tina Armstrong and Bass have also been confirmed, meaning almost all the fighters from Dead or Alive 4 will be making a return.

The trailer also gives us glimpse of a few new stages and the characters in an array of alternate costumes. The biggest surprise comes toward the end when its revealed that another Virtua Fighter mainstay, Sarah Bryant, will be playable. Check out the video below.

I went to Gamestop after work today and they had a DoA 5 poster hanging up with a sweaty, presumably naked Kasumi on it. I'm just standing here wondering, "What's this game about again?"

Killer. DOA2 is my favorite DOA game, but this one looks poised to blow it out of the water. Here's hoping.
