The Amazing Spider-Man 2 coming in spring

In news that will amaze only the very easily amazed, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game will release alongside the motion picture of the same name in spring. New York's friendly neighborhood webslinger will roam an expanded Manhattan as he explores an alternate take on the film's events.

The Spider-Menagerie at Beenox is at work on the series once more. Players can expect additional abilities, upgrades, and challenges, and more accountability for their actions in the open-world; the "Hero or Menace" system rewards players for taking down crooks and adds more severe consequences for letting crime go unchecked--like, y'know, your uncle getting killed.

Regular old Peter Parker will also play a greater role in the game than he did in The Amazing Spider-Man, as the young photojournalist searches for connections between the villains assailing New York City.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will hit PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in spring 2014. The first game will hit Vita on Nov. 19, 2013.

Until I posted, I forgot what my name/gravatar is. Well that explains things, I suppose.

I played more of the first one then I could believe. When I had 100% finished it, I just kinda sat back and went, "Wha??" I'm not sure if this will be objectively good, but it'll probably be a personal favourite.

Not much to go on with that trailer, but I'm hoping this will be when Beenox finally makes a great Spider-Man game instead of a merely decent one

Cool, the first game was surprisingly good, and somehow managed to be the best Spider-Man game since Spider-Man 2, despite Beenox not being quite as good as Treyarch.

I'm happy about this, I loved the first ASM game. But that's because I'm a huge Spidey fan and a comic book nerd, so I find an average Spider-Man game much more enjoyable than a perfect Batman game.
