The first trailer for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class has hit the web, and it's whipped us into a frenzied excitement.
Considering the movie is expected to hit cinemas this summer, there hadn't even been much in the way of images until recently, so it's exciting to finally get a glimpse of the 60s-set movie.
First Class focuses on the early days of the mutant superheroes, before Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik 'Magneto' Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) became bitter enemies.
The trailer reveals some more plot details, including the fact that the film will take place during the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis - during which the US and Russia nearly started World War III - and that the film will follow best friends Xavier and Lensherr as their relationship deteriorates.

As well exciting glimpses at Cyclops, Emma Frost, Mystique and Hank McCoy becoming Beast - it looks like McAvoy and Fassbender have nailed their roles, and will anchor the film with weighty, dramatic performances.
