Watch Dogs 2 will be out by April 2017

Well the official confirmation that Assassin's Creed is skipping a year isn't the only Ubisoft related news this week. In the company's third quarter sales announcement, it was confirmed that Watch Dogs 2 will join For Honor, South Park: Fractured But Whole and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands in releases prior to April 2017. That means we're getting a trip back to Chicago sooner rather than later.

Also revealed in the results was one of the reasons Assassin's Creed will be waiting a year for the next big release. There was "A slower launch than expected for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, in an exceptionally fierce competitive environment." Unity's initial technical problems clearly had a long standing effect on the series and despite Syndicate being excellent, people haven't forgotten Arno's adventures. This has obviously had an effect on the sales of the series' trip to London town. A proper upgrade will be much appreciated.
