Original Buffy actress shares her opinion on the reboot

When a Buffy reboot was announced last week , the general internet reaction wasn't the most positive.

Joss Whedon made a humorous announcement about the whole thing, and Eliza Dushku made her thoughts clear on Twitter: "Joss made the "Buffster" & w/out him… I just don't trust the girl. Or the world."

Now Kristy Swanson, star of the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie from 1992, has weighed into the debate to give her two cents.

Swanson told Entertainment Weekly: "Let Buffy live. Why not?"

She also added (perhaps angling for a job): "If they wanted me to be a part of it, I think that would be fantastic and that it would be a blast."

"There are die-hard Joss Whedon fans who absolutely love him to death, and rightly so. He's a brilliant man, no doubt… I love everything Buffy . I don't care who's doing it."

EW go on to add that Swanson's original co-star Luke Perry, had no comment on the matter…

We'd love to know what Sarah Michelle Gellar thinks about the whole reboot idea.
