Meet award-winning author Paul McAuley

The writer of over 20 novels, novellas and collections is coming to the SFX Weekender in February

Joining fellow authors from the Gollancz stable , author Paul McAuley will meet readers at the third SFX Weekender event.

His first novel, Four Hundred Billion Stars , bagged Paul McAuley the Philip K Dick Award in 1988. He continued to keep his trophy cabinet stacked with Fairyland (recipient of the 1996 Arthur C Clarke Award and the 1997 John W Campbell Memorial Award) and Pasquale's Angel (which nabbed the Sidewise Award for Alternate History).

His new book, In the Mouth Of The Whale , is due in January 2012.

Come along and see Paul McAuley (and recently announced Suzanne McLeod) who'll be signing books and hanging out along with many other authors at our live sci-fi event in just a couple of months' time. Other writers on the guest list so far include China Miéville, Tony Lee, Jaine Fenn, Paul Cornell, Sarah Pinborough, Peter F Hamilton, Robert Rankin, Juliet E McKenna and Dan Abnett , so he's in good company. Of course as usual expect actors, artists, workshops, screenings and more. The SFX Weekender 3 takes place at the Prestatyn Pontin’s on the first weekend in February.
