Mark Ruffalo has revealed that the motion capture work he’s doing for The Avengers has resulted in a beefy green Hulk that looks just like him.
The actor, who took on the role when previous Hulk Ed Norton stepped away from it, will use motion capture to play Hulk when he’s really angry.
“[ It looks ] just like me,” he says. “We’re going out of our way. First of all, I’ll be playing it.
“I’ll be the first actor to actually do it in motion capture as the Hulk. And so all the features are mine - they’re just really big.”
Which sounds odd, but awesome. Ruffalo also commends Joss Whedon’s script for the film, which combines comedy with drama, and seems amped to be a part of the project.
Ruffalo lost out at last night’s Oscars, despite being nominated for his performance in The Kid’s Are All Right . The Best Supporting Actor gong went to Christian Bale for The Fighter instead.
