Kodi Smit-McPhee joins Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
Will star alongside Jason Clarke for sequel
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is fast beginning to swell its cast of human players, with Kodi Smit-McPhee the latest to join the growing ensemble.
Last week saw Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke sign on to join the production, and now Let Me In ’s Smit-McPhee has also been cast in one of the film’s leading roles.
No word as yet as to who Smit-McPhee will be playing, although we do know that a key component of the storyline will focus on a group of human scientists attempting to survive in San Francisco.
The new film will pick up some 15 years after the events of its predecessor, with humanity decimated by the ape-borne flu that reared its head last time out. Meanwhile, chief ape Caesar is having problems remaining in control of the revolution we saw him kick-start…
Directed by Matt Reeves and co-starring the returning Andy Serkis as Caesar, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will open in the UK on 23 May 2014.
