The King of the Jungle gets an origin story in new trailer for The Legend of Tarzan

David Yates has got a busy few months ahead; The director will be returning to the Harry Potter franchise later this year with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and he's also got The Legend of Tarzan swinging into cinemas this summer. A new trailer for the latter blockbuster has landed today, showing us more of Tarzan's origin story while showing off a little more of the film's extensive special effects. Check it out below...

This was a much more effective trailer than the first teaser back in December; the set pieces look exciting, and although I'm a little concerned that Margot Robbie is going to spend most of the movie being a damsel-in-distress, hopefully that won't be a deal breaker come July.

Directed by David Yates and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie, Djimon Hounsou, and Christoph Waltz, The Legend of Tarzan will be released in US cinemas on July 1, 2016 before opening in UK cinemas a week later on July 8, 2016.
