Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, October 23-25. Empyrean Bellicose!

Destiny's weekend merchant, Xur, is back in the Tower. He's down by the Hangar recreation area, chilling in the corner of the bar slowly getting drunk on dirty Martinis. If you've got a fistful of Strange Coins, and want some new Exotic gear, then pop down and see him today or tomorrow before he finishes his weekend session and goes home for a lie-down on Sunday. No headline weapon this week, and... look, I'm a bit sad because Xur is selling Emyprean Bellicose. I've been using it for weeks, it's ace, and now everyone will have one. Here's what he's got:

  • Empyrean Bellicose (Exotic Titan Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Mask of the Third Man (Exotic Hunter Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Exotic Warlock Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Legacy heavy weapon Engram - 31 Strange Coins
  • Exotic armour Engram - 23 Strange Coins
  • Three of Coins - 7 Strange Coins
  • Glass Needle – 3 Strange Coins + 1 Exotic Shard

The headline buy here is Empyrean Bellicose, the Titan Helmet. Won't lie, the ability to float in mid-air whenever you aim a weapon is an absolute boon, and changes the way you'll play both PvE and Crucible. The other melee enhancing perks are the icing on the cake. Plus, it looks cool too. Mask of the Third Man is handy if you're a Blade Dancer, as it essentially makes your Super last much longer. It's far from essential, but yes, it lets you be that guy in the Crucible. The Skull of Dire Ahamkara is fairly decent too, if you're a Voidwalker Warlock. You're less likely to be scythed down mid-Nova Bomb, and your Syphon ability is nicely enhanced too. Something for everyone, then, but Titans get the real treat this week.

As ever Xur is hawking a selection of buffs, including Exotic armour Engrams, a legacy weapon Engram, Three of Coins, and Glass Needles. If you're temped to exchange Strange Coins and an Exotic Shard for those Glass Needles... whoa there, son. So, check out Bungie.net for possible armour rolls here. I tried it this morning, and didn't get much change on Insurmountable Skullfort (other than different Discipline / Strength / Intellect stats), but you'll have more joy with certain pieces of kit - like chest pieces. Is it worth trading a Shard for? Not in my book.

As ever, Xur will be in the Tower until 10am UK / 2am PT on Sunday, when he'll vanish for the week. So make sure you stock up while you can.
