We've known for a while that an R-rated, 181 minute version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was on the way, and thanks to a new trailer for the Blu-Ray release of the film we now have a small idea of what we're in for. The promo features plenty of new footage - including a first look at Jena Malone's mysterious character - and you can check it out below...
Aside from footage of Malone, the trailer also contains some hitherto unseen snippets of action - including what looks to be a scene of Batman getting the kryptonite from Luthor's building, something we only saw the aftermath of in the original cut of the movie - some more dialogue from Alfred, and what looks to be Clark Kent talking to a Gotham citizen about Batman.
I really wasn't a fan of Batman v Superman when it was released, but against all odds this trailer made me curious to check out the R-rated version. One of, if not THE biggest problem with the theatrical cut of the movie was its editing, so it will be interesting to see how different my reaction to Snyder's original three hour vision is to the way I felt about the film back when I first saw it in March.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne, and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be available on Digital HD from June 28, 2016 before being released on DVD and Blu-Ray from July 19, 2016.
