The first season of the cartoon focused quite a bit on Ash's Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree, and such attention made this trio of buggy Pokemon fairly popular. Us, we're over 'em. Too much Poke-swapping to make it evolve into a fairly "meh" final stage. Stare in wonder at its power!
