Sundance London announces festival lineup

The inaugural Sundance London film festival has announced the full lineup for its four day run, and it’s a very exciting-looking schedule indeed!

The festival will screen 14 films in total, with events taking place at London’s O2 arena. The films shown will include Julie Delpy’s relationship drama 2 Days In New York , climate change doc Chasing Ice , hip-hop drama Filly Brown , state of the nation doc Finding North and family drama For Ellen .

Also on the bill are winner of the Sundance US Grand Jury documentary prize, The House I Live In , the Elizabeth Olsen starring Liberal Arts , Baltimore street drama LUV , indie drama Nobody Walks and offbeat romance An Oversimplification Of Her Beauty .

Completing the lineup are the American dream scrutinizing The Queen Of Versailles , time-travel oddity Safety Not Guaranteed , LCD Soundsystem’s Shut Up And Play The Hits and Paul Simon’s return to South Africa in Under African Skies .

“I welcome the opportunity to see how people in the UK experience these films,” said festival founder Robert Redford. “While they are American productions they speak to universal experiences and global challenges. Sundance London also is the perfect opportunity to continue our long-time commitment to growing a broader international community around new voices and new perspectives.”

The festival will take place between 26 – 29 April, with tickets going on sale at the beginning of next month. You can find out more at the official Sundance London website , with a whole host of cultural events also in the offing, including a seminar from Redford himself, and musical appearances by the likes of Tricky and T-Bone Burnett.
