Prey's release date is set for May 5, 2017 and you can watch a new trailer right now
You can fight aliens and turn into a coffee mug when Prey comes out on May 5, 2017. Bethesda revealed the worldwide release date for the Dishonored studio's latest game along with the above trailer. If you're not familiar, the new Prey (which is only thematically related to the 2006 game of the same name) puts you in the uncertain perspective of Morgan Yu, who is stranded on a space station overrun by hostile, shape-shifting aliens.
Arkane Studios has developed a reputation for giving players the freedom to approach set missions however they see fit through games like Dishonored 2 and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Prey broadens that approach by letting players explore an entire space station as they see fit, unlocking a variety of alien powers to circumvent obstacles and protect themselves. Think of Prey as a first-person, Cold-War-horror inspired Super Metroid and you're on the right path.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
