Paul Rudd is reportedly in talks with Marvel to star as Hank Pym in Ant-Man , Edgar Wright’s long-gestating comic-book adaptation.
The Wrap is reporting that Rudd has beaten Joseph Gordon-Levitt to the role, with the star having entered early negotiations with the studio.
Rudd was coy on the matter when we quizzed him earlier this week (just watch the video below), but it seems as though he might have been playing dumb on the subject the whole time. The fiend!
The film will be released a matter of weeks after The Avengers: Age Of Ultron , and will likely pick up where that story leaves off, although Edgar Wright has previously commented that Ultron himself will not be a part of his film.
Ant-Man will open in the US on 31 July 2015, with a UK date to be confirmed.
